Services

Initial Appoinment
In-Home: $150     In-Office: $120
The initial visit includes taking a detailed history (we will have more time to practice and problem solve if you are able to complete your forms and send them back to me before the visit, click on FORMS to fill them out), a feeding assessment, individualized care plan, resources, and a written report to your health care provider(s) (if you desire), and a super-bill (which is for you to submit to your insurance provider for a possible reimbursement). Initial and follow up visits may include an oral assessment and full body assessment of your baby. Oral assessments will only be done if I need to feel or view the structure and/or function of your baby’s mouth and will always be completed with a gloved finger and preferably after the nursing session when your baby is calm. Pre and post weight feeds may also be completed during the visit.

Initial breastfeeding consults normally last between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Sometimes breastfeeding problems are not able to be solved in one visit and occasionally an in-depth follow-up visit may be recommended. You may have to follow up with a doctor more than once before you are cured as well. There are some unfortunate situations where breastfeeding goals cannot be realistically met. I will be honest, supportive and help in every way I can. I may need to refer you to additional services or may recommend alternative feeding measures.

In-depth Appointment
In-Home: $100    In-Office: $80
If we agree that a follow-up visit is needed, I will re-assess, give additional resources, weigh your baby before and after the feeding, adjust our care plan as necessary and send another follow up to your provider if you want me to, and give you another ‘super-bill’.

Follow up visits typically last anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes.

This is only offered after an initial consult has been completed.

Brief Weight Check
In-Home: $40    In-Office: $20
Weight checks are only available to current or previous clients. They are normally less than 30 minutes. This visit is helpful to reassure you that breastfeeding is going well and I can fine-tune our previous plans. This visit does NOT include any written plans or reports. I can still provide you with a ‘Super-Bill’ as this can count towards one of your 6 visits per some insurance companies.
